Washington, Nov. 7 (ANI): After winning re-election, President Barack Obama posted a message from his Twitter account, thanking his supporters.
"This happened because of you. Thank you," Obama tweeted announcing his victory.
"We're all in this together. That's how we campaigned, and that's who we are," Obama tweeted.
According to news.com.au, a Twitter record was made in the process for the most re-tweets of all time.
Obama's official victory announcement, a picture of him hugging his wife Michelle with the caption: 'Four more years', was picked up and retweeted 320,821 times at the time of writing.
His campaign announced Obama's re-election to the White House moments after it was called by TV networks CNN and Fox News. (ANI)
