Johannesburg, July 16 (ANI): England coach Andy Flower had words of praise for his 'resilient' side after they beat Australia in a thrilling 14-run win in the first Test at Trent Bridge.
According to sport24, although Flower was happy with his team's performance, he did not think that it was easy to get a 5-0 England sweep or a 10-0 sweep come the end of back-to-back Ashes in Australia in January.
The coach said that the first Test was a good example that the remainder of the series would be a tough fight, adding that it would have taken something out of all the players involved, while calling it a sensational game.
Flower also said that Stuart Broad, unlike any other batsmen, had the right to wait for the umpire's decision and therefore it was not necessary for him to walk off after being adjudged not out. (ANI)
