Sydney, Nov. 10 (ANI): England fast bowler Steve Finn's rapid recovery has given hope to the Three Lions squad of putting up a good show in the first Test against India after a day of toil against Haryana.
Finn, who has not bowled since injuring his right thigh on the opening day of the tour, has improved dramatically over the past 48 hours.
According to the paper, Bresnan, who would not be playing in the Test if both Broad and Finn were fit, was even more ebullient about the latter's chances of being ready in time.
"With six days to go, there's no reason why Finny shouldn't be fully fit. You throw someone like him in there, who is bowling 90 mph plus consistently, and getting bounce and lift, and he's going to add to any team. The way he's been bowling he'd probably get into any side in the world at the minute," he said.
Finn's height and pace are integral to England's bowling plans in the series, the paper said.
"It is not ideal playing Finn with so few overs under his belt but he has the kind of pace we're looking for out here," a team source said. (ANI)
