Singer and music composer Hariharan is slated to perform at SK Memorial Hall on Saturday evening. The show ' Symphony ' is being organised by Bihar Tourism and The Telegraph. The programme would start at 6.30pm.
Hariharan needs no introduction to music aficionados. For the uninitiated, he is one of the most celebrated musicians in India.
The Thiruvananthapuram-born singer made his debut in 1978 with the erstwhile music director Jaidev for the film Gaman. Over the years, he has worked with ace music directors like R.D. Burman and A.R. Rahman. He has also ventured into music composition and released solo albums like Jashn and Kaash.
In the 1990s, he gained popularity and acclaim because of his collaboration with Leslie Lewis. The duo formed a band called Colonial Cousins, which was a sort of pioneer in contemporary fusion experiments.
Hariharan has also collaborated with Asha Bhonsle and performed ghazals with the legendary singer.
