New Delhi, Nov. 20 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday took on its senior leader Yashwant Sinha over his fresh attack against party president Nitin Gadkari.
Reacting to Sinha's remarks about Gadkari, BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said: "Being a senior leader of the BJP, all the forums of the party are available to him to express his views, instead he chose to go public over the issue of the party, which is not appropriate."
"The party appeal to him to rethink and reconsider his stand," said Prasad.
Earlier today Sinha once again gave a blow to Nitin Gadkari and demanded his resignation as BJP president.
"Whether our party president is guilty or not is not the issue today. The issue is that all of us in public life should be beyond reproach," said Sinha.
Sinha today's statement has brought alive the campaign initiated by veteran lawyer and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Ram Jethmalani and his son Mahesh in the wake of the allegation of dubious financing of Purti Sugar and Power Group led headed by Gadkari. (ANI)
