Sydney, Sept 21 (ANI): The players of Big Bash sides Brisbane Heat and Perth Scorchers will reportedly be rewarded with a call-up in the Australian national team, along with big cash bonuses, if they manage to make their presence felt in the Champions League Twenty20 tournament in India.
Both teams received 500,000 dollars for simply qualifying for the six million-dollar star-studded ten-team T20 tournament in India, which will start this weekend.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, leaving the door open for players of the Big Bash sides by not naming any specialists for the one-off T20 international which launches Australia's limited overs tour of India, Cricket Australia (CA) has provided hopes to the likes of Perth's Ashton Agar and Brisbane's Ben Cutting and Dan Christian.
Agar, Cutting and Christian can earn a call-up in the national squad if they shine in the Champions League, with the report adding that if they are lucky enough, they can even be called for the seven-match ODI series against India if a vacancy opens in the squad if captain Michael Clarke (back) is rested.
