Aussies' English 'lesson'

Melbourne: Ahead of the upcoming four-Test series against India, Australian spinners Nathan Lyon and Xavier Doherty are studying the performance of English spinners.

"I watched it (Ind-Eng series) more as a spectator rather than for research, thinking I wasn't going to be a part of it. But watching the way they bowled, with some extra pace and really getting the ball to fizz off the wicket, I'll be looking harder at some of that footage again. They (Swann and Panesar) led their attack and unexpectedly won England the series," Doherty said.

Chennai: CSK coach Stephen Fleming has indicated that his team may not look for foreign players in Sunday's IPL auction as he feels that "looking for new overseas players will lose fan base".

"We would like to continue with the players. It is a dangerous situation when you are looking for new overseas players as you will lose the fan base," Fleming said.

New Delhi: The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) will be conducting its elections on April 6, but the body could find itself on a collision course with the government, as not all of its provisions are in accordance with the sports code. "We have decided to hold the elections on April 6," NRAI's advisor, Baljeet Singh Sethi said after the association's governing body meeting that was attended by all the top officials.
