The Ayub National Stadium is an international cricket venue in Quetta, Pakistan. The stadium is a multi-use ground as it is used for cricket as well as football. The stadium has grass surface and capacity of 20000 people. It hosted its first ever game on October 1st, 1978. It was a 40-over game between Pakistan and India. Three Indian players made their ODI debut that day including Kapil Dev. India won the match by a narrow margin of 4 runs and Mohinder Amarnath was named the Man of the Match. The next game the Ayub National Stadium hosted was six years later in 1984 and that game too was played between Pakistan and India in which the hosts emerged victorious. It's been more than two decades, since the ground has hosted an international game. In 2007, the 2007 Asian Football Cup Qualifying rounds were played at this particular stadium.
