Reuters, 03 November 2009

CHENNAI (Reuters) - Australia have been fined for a slow over rate during their 24-run victory in the fourth one-day international against India on Monday.

The world champions were ruled two overs short of target within the stipulated time during their determined fightback to level the series at 2-2.

Skipper Ricky Ponting was penalised 20 percent of his match fee and other team members 10 percent, an International Cricket Council statement said on Tuesday.

The fifth game in the seven-match series is in Hyderabad on Thursday.
