GUWAHATI, India, Nov 8 (Reuters) - Left-arm seamer Doug Bollinger grabbed five for 35 to set up Australia's six-wicket victory over India in the sixth one-dayer on Sunday for an unassailable 4-2 lead in the seven-match series.
New ball bowler Bollinger dismissed Sachin Tendulkar (10) and Yuvraj Singh (6) off successive overs in his opening spell before claiming Mahendra Dhoni (24), Harbhajan Singh (zero) and Ravindra Jadeja for 57 to bowl out India for 170.
All-rounders Jadeja and Praveen Kumar (54 not out) struck fifties and shared in a 74-run stand for the eighth wicket to lift the hosts, who were tottering at 27 for five after choosing to bat first on a two-paced pitch.
In-form Shane Watson struck 49 but the world champions suffered a mini collapse when off-spinner Harbhajan Singh took the wickets of Watson and Ricky Ponting (25) in quick succession.
Michael Hussey (35 not out) put on 53 for the fourth wicket with Cameron White (25) and 29 with Adam Voges (23 not out) to guide the team to victory in 41.5 overs.
The last match will be played in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Sign in to post a commentWith such greatest & experienced players like Mr. Tendulkar, Viru, Dhoni, Yuraj & many more & pertaining cricketer of the year players, still on our own soil we were beaten shamelessly by our opponent & the greatest team Australia in the Hero Honda ODI Series 2009. Is this the fault of the coach or selectors or too much cricket or too much fans or because, our players are just huger of money, ads & fame. During the last series most of us had pointed fingers at Mr. Chapel, but now whom to point our fingers at. Our team is unable to win because; we have old players who are just in the team due to political influence & some players are just interested to have fame & make money. Hardly any players who are here because, he wants to win as he loves cricket than anything else. We’re lacking in all aspects in may be batting, fielding or bowling. The time has come that we need to keep out players like Tendulkar, Viru, Yuraj, Dhoni & Nehra. Who are just in the team to make it 11 players & nothing else? Although Sachin has hit 17,000 runs & has completed 20 decades, what is the amount of wins & series Indian has won & has he won any World Cup. When we look back the win of 1983 world cup to feel proud that out old players without much facilities & financial support backed the cup. If we can’t play pure cricket its better we forget the game & invest the money & interest in other games or in the development of our country. As the 20-20 game has spoiled the young generation & the game itself. With unwanted things going around. The game has turned into entertainment & body show with indecent dress up by cheerleaders. God please save us from all these stuffs.
Flop show again ! Dhoni ko dho dala . As a batsman Dhoni is a useless guy . He can't able place the ball well so how he hit the ball for boundary ? Dhoni is trying to show that how he is different than others by selecting bat first on the bowling pitch. But I like to say than Indians are watch the match for India not for you, always keep in mind. You can play test cricket better than others in now a days so get resign T-20 & ODI . Another option for you is advertising.[ Like that pen's add your bat is not working.] Other part is Sehwag. He is a foolish guy. He has no patience. He can't have any knowledge about cricket that how to play in critical conditions because he always not on crease when the condition is critical. Also Sachin Tendulkar's consistency is a big question always for the batting. Anybody can show me his record to hit two centuries in two back to back matches ? Certainly not ! The record of Century in both the innings in test is also not on his name because he is not consistent. He played a bad shot in last match as Misbah played against us so what is the difference between them ? Sachin is having more experience than him so what is difference in both of them? Gautam Gambhir is also in trouble in now a days. He try always for a single or double but he take the risk to cut the ball for it. Also Ravindra Jadeja gets failed to take India on winning node. Praveen Kumar & Harbhajjan done a nice job throughout the series. Dhoni can learn something from them. So,Dhoni don't be over confident again !!!
We have seen the referral system tried out at Wimbledon and it worked really well. There is no reason to believe that it will not work in cricket too.
The tourists missed Strauss's conviction in marshalling the side in the field and his batting is always valuable because he is such a fluid player when he is in form.

now the result showed that indians are indivdual performers, who plays for making money and not for team india. DHONI factor, is in big concern and he showed that what he is capable of in a pressure situation.stays calm as if he is not bothered about wheather india wins or losses. because BCCI is a rich governing body and it has everyrights to allow the players make money.totally no one is least bothered about team india.the high officials needs money and players need money.but not the victory in each and every match.i love when indian team losses more that it wins. because when indian team losses i cannot even see the players feel even in presentation party and dhoni commenting after every match another 50 odd rus or 20 runs or etc would have poised the match on us.is this a blame excuse.even in 6th ODI the singels were on but it wast took and dhoni is not technically that sound, only his musles talks.so why should a player be in the team of 50 overs cricket when he is technically correct. his kind of style suits only to 20 overs cricket, and most of the players in indian team is not that technically correct. see the aussies, south africans, they fight till the end.they never gave up and when a player is injured they are having right replacement and then captain ricky is mentally to strong, makes the new player to belive and even if he fails he talks to him and make him deliver. Ricky is an Excellent captain who takes responsibity in his shoulder, and see the vice captain hussey he finishes the match.right from watson to hussey the experienced guys who have done it with the new bowlers contributing in crucial time.so its the responsibility that counts not 17,000 runs or 10 sixes in a match or not 30 fours. you can hit fours and sixes in a batting wicket. when you play in grassy condition how can you make a player who is not good in grassy condition to play. the player should play in both the turf. but indians play great cricket in solid and batting wicket and fails to count when the pitch is not conducive for batting. then these guys or playing international cricket. let them go get practice for 3 to 4 years. make the indian pitch green top and sporting wicket and when india has mixture of youth and experince indian will perform well. right from gambir and shewag or either sachin to open. then dravid at no.3, then sachin or laxman to follow then yuvaraj to follow at no.4, then dhoni at no.5,irfan pathan at no.6,harbhajan at no.7, amith mishra at no.8,zhaheer khan at no.9, ishant sharma at no.10, praveen kumar at no.11.
