Get Sachin down the order, says Azhar

Hindustantimes, 05 November 2009

Aneyi (Varanasi), Nov. 5 -- Mohammed Azharuddin said Sachin Tendulkar could be more effective if he bats down the order.

Speaking to reporters while campaigning for Congress candidate J.P. Singh in Aneyi (Varanasi), Azharuddin said "a change in Sachin's batting order might work for the team."

Tendulkar has opened in all four ODIs against Australia with 40 in Mohali being his highest.

Azharuddin, a former India captain and now a Congress MP from Moradabad, said selectors should treat seniors equally and dubbed the current side as a "50-50" team.

"On one day the batting clicks and the other day the bowlers are a hit. Very seldom bowlers, batsmen and fielders click together which cannot make this side a champion side."

Just when these fags start to bark..sachin gives them the doggie biscuits..just like today's amazing knock! Shame on the batsmen..He stayed till the end with 18 runs to get..I really feel sorry for him..just everyone lets him down..when he tries to win for us!

    A welcome development

We have seen the referral system tried out at Wimbledon and it worked really well. There is no reason to believe that it will not work in cricket too.

    Strauss must re-exert his authority

The tourists missed Strauss's conviction in marshalling the side in the field and his batting is always valuable because he is such a fluid player when he is in form.
