Dravid completed 1000 ODI runs against England
yesterday. He reached the milestone when he was on 57. His aggregate finally
stands at 1012. He became the fourth Indian batsman to score 1000 runs against
England. Others: Sachin Tendulkar {1455}, Yuvraj Singh {1187} and Virender
Sehwag {1008}.
The Firsts
He made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in Singapore
on 03.04.96 under the captaincy of Mohammad Azharuddin. Batting at No. 4 he
scored 3 runs. He was caught behind by Romesh Kaluwitharana off Muttiah Muralitharan.
His first ODI fifty was a 90 against Pakistan in Toronto
on 17.09.96.
His first hundred was also against Pakistan at
Chennai on 21.05.97, He scored 107 in this game, famous for Saeed Anwar's 194.
His only score of 150 or more was against New
Zealand at Hyderabad-LBS on 08.11.99. He made 153.

Dravid is one of the seventeen ODI cricketers (and
four Indians) to appear in 300-plus games. The list: Tendulkar {453}, Dravid
{344}, Azharuddin {334} and Ganguly {311}.
Dravid is one of the eight ODI batsmen to
aggregate 10000-plus runs - Tendulkar {18111}, Ponting {13602}, Jayasuriya
{13430}, Inzamam {11739}, Ganguly {11363}, Kallis {11227}, Dravid {10889} and Lara
{10405}.
Dravid is one of the four batsmen with the unique ‘double'
of 10,000 in Tests and ODIs: Tendulkar {14965 runs in Tests and 18111 in ODIs},
Dravid {12775 runs in Tests and 10889 runs in ODIs}, Ponting {12411 runs in Tests
and 13602 runs in ODIs} and Kallis {11947 runs in Tests and 11227 runs in ODIs}
Dravid aggregated 1000 runs in three separate
calendar years - 1999 {1761 runs}, 2004 {1025 runs} and 2005 {1092 runs}.
Dravid is one of six batsmen who have faced 15000

Partnership
Records
During his 153 against New Zealand, Dravid added 331
runs for the second wicket with Sachin Tendulkar, who made 186. It's the only
instance of two batsmen making 150 or more in one innings in an ODI.
The 331-run partnership is still a record.
Dravid and Sourav Ganguly added 318 runs for the
second wicket against Sri Lanka in Taunton on 26.05.99 in the World Cup game of
1999.
These two partnerships are the only 300-run stands
in ODIs. It's to Dravid's credit that he featured in both.
Dravid has partnered two batsmen in adding 4000-plus
runs in ODIs. With Tendulkar he has added 4117 runs and with Ganguly, 4363
runs. He's the third batsman to do so with two partners after Tendulkar and Ganguly.
Tendulkar has 4000-plus runs with three partners -
Ganguly {8227}, Virender Sehwag {4312} and with Dravid. Ganguly has done it
with two partners - Tendulkar and Dravid.
Dravid has had 56 century partnerships. The wicket-wise
break-up: first wicket {03}, second {13}, third {14}, fourth {15}, fifth {09}
and wicket {02}.

Dravid has led India in 79 ODIs. His batting
record: 79 matches, 75 innings, 12 not outs, 2658 runs, highest 105, Average 42.19,
two hundreds and 25 half-centuries.
Dravid has assumed the dual role of
captain-cum-wicket keeper in five ODIs. In those games, he played five innings,
made 158 runs at 30.30 with one fifty. He had three dismissals - two catches
and one stumping.
Dravid is one of the four Indian captains who have
scored 25 half-centuries - Azharuddin {37}, Ganguly {30}, Dhoni {26} and Dravid
