PJ Cummins is the second Australian cricketer to
get a Man of the Match award on debut against South Africa, after SR Clark. SR
Clark had returned with figures of 5 for 55 and 4 for 34 at Cape Town in March 2004.
PJ Cummins became the fifth cricketer to get the
Man of the Match award on debut in a test against South Africa. The others are - PK
Amre of India at Durban in Nov 1992, Azhar
Mohmood of Pakistan at Rawalpindi in Oct 1997, SR Clark of Australia at Cape Town
in March 2004 and RJ Kirtley of England
at Nottingham in Aug 2003.
