West Indies were 478 runs behind in the first
innings, making it the 26th occasion of a team conceding a first
innings lead of 400 plus runs.
West Indies have conceded 400-plus leads thrice: 424
against England at Leeds in May 2007, 478 against India at Kolkata and 563 against
England at Kingston in April 1938
Similarly, India have obtained such leads thrice,
the last two instances being 492 against Bangladesh at Dhaka in May 2007 and
418 against Sri Lanka in Kanpur in November 2009.

Darren Bravo's hundred in the second innings was West
Indies's 100th Test hundred against India.
India is the third team against which West Indies
batsmen have scored 100 or more centuries. The other two are England {128
hundreds} and Australia {102}.
The record for a team with most Test tons against
one team is with Australia (287 against England). In second place are England,
with 231 tons against Australia.
