
Sri Lanka's Mahela Jayawardene became the ninth
batsman and the second from his country to complete 10,000 runs in one-day
internationals.
He reached the milestone during his short innings
of 13 in Sri Lanka's defeat to Pakistan in the third
ODI in Dubai.

Jayawardene is the slowest of the nine to reach the mark, taking 333 innings.
Tendulkar,
who was the first in 2001, remains the fastest, getting there in
259 innings. Jayasuriya is the only other to take
more than 300 innings, getting there in 328.
Rahul
Dravid and Jacques Kallis, who've had to deal with the tag of being slow
scorers, got there in 287 and 272 innings respectively.
